šŖ Training Load
Calculates Training Impulse (TRIMP) from heart rate data
Measure Your Training Intensity
The Training Load booster calculates your Training Impulse (TRIMP) using the scientifically validated Banister Formula. This gives you a single number to represent the physiological load of your workout based on heart rate and duration.
How it works
FitGlue analyzes your heart rate stream throughout the activity. It calculates your Heart Rate Reserve (HRR) and applies the Banister Formula (weighted for gender) to determine total TRIMP. This load is then categorized into Effort Zones from Recovery to Very Hard.
Know Your Hardest Sessions
TRIMP is cumulative, meaning a long easy session can have the same load as a short intense one. This helps you track total training stimulus across different workout types.
